Morning Prayer -Friday 11/04/25
2 min read

In the name of God,
and the name of Christ,
and in the Holy Spirit. Amen
O Lord of the sunrise,
as the first light inches above the horizon,
we lift our hearts to you.
In the stillness of this new day,
we seek you O Lord.
9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 I will take away the chariots from Ephraim
and the warhorses from Jerusalem,
and the battle bow will be broken.
He will proclaim peace to the nations.
His rule will extend from sea to sea
and from the River to the ends of the earth.
11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you,
I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.
12 Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope;
even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.
13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow
and fill it with Ephraim.
I will rouse your sons, Zion,
against your sons, Greece,
and make you like a warrior’s sword.
Reflect
O Christ, our Morning Star,
who rose from the tomb to bring us new life,
shine your light upon our paths this day,
and guide our steps in the way of peace and love.
O creator of the seas and the winds,
may we see your glory in the beauty around us,
and find in nature a reflection of your majesty and care.
O Holy Spirit, Breath of Life,
full of wisdom and grace,
fill our hearts this morning with your presence,
that we may carry your love to all we meet.
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and forever.
Amen.
Lord, we offer you this day,
with all its tasks, challenges, and blessings,
in trust and humility, we place ourselves in your hands,
seeking to do your will in all things.
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
